Marina Farrow

Co-owner/Lead Designer

Marina was born in Milan, Italy, to a design-oriented family – her mother an Interior Designer with two furniture stores and her father a wallpaper designer and manufacturer. Marina pursued a university degree in architecture, developing attention to classical proportion and lines. Together, her design upbringing and architecture education helped her appreciate the way exteriors and interiors speak to one another. After Milan and living in Vancouver for five years Marina came to Collingwood where she connected with Katherine over shared aesthetics and values. They launched Farrow Arcaro Design in 2003 and have spent the past two decades collaborating with clients to create unique homes that reflect their client’s lifestyles.

Ashley Pilkington

Designer

Ashley is a key point of contact during the design process by sourcing all the elements for a design project, room by room while collaborating with clients. She brings an eclectic background to F.A.D., having worked in residential design and with carefully curated vintage furniture before getting a bachelor's degree in interior design. Both roles helped shape her aesthetic, a balanced blend of modern and vintage details. In her spare time, Ashley likes camping, reading and painting nature scenes.

Co-owner/Lead Designer

Raised in the Collingwood area, Katherine remembers the houses she lived in being in a perpetual state of redesign by her parents. At a young age, she found an innate talent for visualizing space which drew her to interior design.

After training at the Design Institute of Florence, Italy, Katherine returned to Ontario and started working with clients in the Muskoka and Collingwood areas, Katherine met Marina while working on similar projects and the pair found a kindred understanding and respect in their approach of interior design. They launched Farrow Arcaro Design in 2003 and have spent the past two decades building a portfolio of thoughtfully designed aesthetically unique homes that embrace natural beauty while pushing the limits of functional design and timelessness.
